Updated information for the Transplant Clinic -
Outpatient Appointments: 28/06/2020
Covid-19 is still active in our communities therefore you should attend strictly at the allocated time in order to ensure social distancing is maintained in the clinic.
You will be contacted by phone 24- 48 hours prior to your attendance at which time a member of staff will complete a short pre-visit assessment questionnaire and advise you about your forthcoming attendance.
In the 2 weeks prior to your appointment, we recommend that you as a patient:
- Adhere to government social distancing guidelines stringently 2 weeks prior to your visit.
- Complete the assessment questionnaire when contacted prior to your visit. You will receive a call from the secretary approximately 48 hours prior to your appointment.
On the day of your appointment:
- You should attend alone. Should you have a need to be accompanied please inform the hospital staff member who carries out pre-assessment prior to your visit. Note: only one person is permitted to accompany you.
- Sanitise hands regularly at points provided and adhere to cough etiquette i.e. cover nose and mouth if coughing.
- Wear a face mask when entering the hospital. If you do not have one, it will be provided to you at the clinic. Please make sure you keep your mask on while attending other departments such as Radiology and Blood Testing.
If you cannot attend on the above date please contact the secretary as soon as possible to allow us to reallocate the appointment slot to another patient.
Blood appointment:
Blood testing is strictly by appointment only. Please do not attend if you do not have an appointment.
Please note that blood slots are still limited so we may not able to accommodate date and time. Should you not be able to attend and you need to cancel your appointment please inform the transplant clinic as soon as possible.
If you require a blood appointment please contact the transplant clinic on 01 803 4296 and select option 3.
